Fan pages provide many of the benefits of a hosted Web site, writes John Jantsch, along with interactive features such as applications, events and sign-up pages. Lupus Foundation Multiplies Donations Via Facebook

The Lupus Foundation of America’s outreach on Facebook helped increase its donations 790%. Wick Davis, director of online services for the organization, created an official Facebook group to serve as an information hub for supporters.
